The Masters: Our Philosophy

So often we are asked, “Will my stylist get commission for that?” The answer is no. No they won’t.

You’re probably thinking, “How can this be? How do they make money?” If you’ve ever been a client of The Masters, you’ve probably noticed a different vibe as soon as you walked in. You’ll find more of us smiling here than you will at other places. Unlike many salons, you’ll notice team members helping each other in order to stay on schedule and deliver a better experience for you. In fact, it’s not uncommon for you you to receive services from one, two, or even three people before you leave. It’s all part of our purpose of making your day.

We Don’t Pay Commissions

Not on service sales and not on product sales. Have you ever dreaded going into places knowing that as soon as you walk in the door, you have a salesperson ready to “close you” on some deal? We know the feeling too and we don’t like it. So we designed our system to be different and more enjoyable.

We compensate all of our staff by salary; a very nice salary! This means that no matter what’s going on, whether they are booked or not, they are getting paid.

By compensating our staff on a “Team Based” system, it allows us to function more efficiently and provide a better experience to you. We allow for more flexibility for your needs. If you don’t have time to wait for your favorite stylist, we have others who can help. If you just want to mix it up, we encourage you to go for it. Our entire focus is making your day.

This focus even applies to products. When our staff recommends a product, it’s because they truly care about you and the end result. We don’t recommend products because we’re trying to make a commission on the sale. It’s just not our way of doing business.
